Carfax information (internal only)

In an ongoing effort to comply with the agreed-upon CarFax requirements, we met with the CarFax team on 3/29/2023 and discussed the following:

Requirements:  In order for Dealerlogix to present CarFax data to dealers, the dealer needs to have signed a CarFax Car Care agreement.  This states that the dealer agrees to provide data (no customer specific) back to CarFax.  Based on this understanding, the following procedures will now be in place:

Existing Dealers that have been disabled:

* CarFax has set up a monitoring program that includes contacting Dealerlogix dealers that have been identified as either not having a signed CarFax Car Care agreement or are not currently sending the required RO data back to CarFax **.  CarFax will send an email to support@dealerlogix.com when they receive signed agreements or have any additional information that arises from this monitoring program.

* For all other existing dealers that are enrolled in CarFax Car Care program, CarFax will monitor their records for data being sent to them.  If a dealer is found to not be sending data, CarFax will notify Dealerlogix by sending an email to support@dealerlogix.com and reach out to the dealership directly.  If after attempting to correct the issue of not receiving data and after 30 days, CarFax will turn off the dealer from receiving CarFax data.  CarFax will notify Dealerlogix of the disabled dealer by sending an email to support@dealerlogix.com.

* Dealerlogix can send questions and/or requests for assistance at any time to carcaresupport@carfax.com.


New Dealers being enabled in Dealerlogix:

* Dealerlogix is to confirm that the dealer has a CarFax Car Care agreement signed.  If not, we forward the following link for their consideration (<insert link here>).  If yes, Dealerlogix will enter the Dealer information into the CarFax Authorization tool form (i.e. the current process - <insert link here>) and will send an email notifying CarFax of a new dealer and the proposed installation date to carcaresupport@carfax.com .  At the proper time in the installation process, Dealerlogix will enable the CarFax feature in the dealer's configuration.

* If after 1 week of enablement and CarFax is not receiving data from the new dealer, CarFax will turn off data being sent to Dealerlogix.  CarFax will notify Dealerlogix that data has been disabled by sending Dealerlogix an email to support@dealerlogix.com
